Our Services

Commercial Security Services

Whether you are a multi-location national enterprise or an independent local business, we tailor security to how your business actually operates. We protect your property: fire and intrusion systems, alarm monitoring with visual verification, video surveillance and analytics, and access control. We protect your people: work-alone monitoring and holdup response. And we protect your operations: equipment and environmental monitoring, cash management, and GPS fleet tracking.

From a single storefront to hundreds of sites. SAS protects fuel and convenience retailers, grocers, and specialty retail chains across Canada.

Protect your property

Fire & Intrusion Systems

ULC Listed InstallerCAN/ULC-S302CAN/ULC-S561

SAS is a ULC Listed Installer of commercial intrusion alarm systems (CAN/ULC-S302) and fire protective signalling systems (CAN/ULC-S561). We install and service systems right-sized to your site, and whether your insurer requires ULC standards or you simply want that level of assurance, we deliver.

For ULC-spec installations, a ULC certificate is issued for the system and posted at your site: physical proof of compliance for your insurer and authorities.

Alarm Monitoring with Visual Verification

Alarm signals are monitored 24/7 by a ULC Listed Monitoring Company, the standard many insurers require. Typical signals include intrusion, fire, panic, and environmental alarms.

With visual verification, operators see what triggered the alarm before dispatching: verified alarms get prioritized response, and false alarms (and their fines) get screened out.

Temperature & Environmental Monitoring

A failed compressor can cost more than a break-in. We monitor critical equipment (refrigeration, temperature, flood) around the clock, and alert you before a malfunction becomes a loss of valuable perishables or product.

Video That Speaks Up

Most security cameras record and wait. Ours pay attention, flagging what matters as it happens, and turning everyday footage into answers you can use.

Loss prevention that connects the dots. Link video to your POS and see the transaction behind every void, refund, and no-sale. Catch fuel drive-offs by plate. Flag after-hours activity before it becomes a loss. The clip finds you. You don’t go hunting for it.

Footage in seconds, not hours. When you need it, search by vehicle, time, or location and hand police or your insurer exactly what they need, no scrubbing through a night of recording.

Cameras that earn their keep. Beyond security, see your busiest hours, count customers, and spot the trends that help you run the business, your cameras working for operations, not just after an incident.

Built on enterprise-grade video platforms, on-site by default, with cloud available on request.

Protect your people

Work-Alone Monitoring & Holdup Response

Provincial labour standards require employers to protect staff who work alone. We monitor work-alone environments and respond to holdup and panic alarms, keeping your people safer and your business onside with the law.

Secure your operations

Access control credentials and mobile app

Access Control

More than locked doors. Grant access, pull it back, and set who goes where and when, across a single door or hundreds of sites, from one screen. Tie access to a role or a schedule, and every entry is logged, so access isn’t just controlled: it’s accountable.

And it doesn’t work in isolation: bring access control together with your video and alarm monitoring on one platform, so the pieces work as a single system.

Tidel cash management unit

Cash Management

Reduce cost and shortage with electronic “command and control” of your cash operations. As an authorized Tidel dealer, we deliver systems with full accountability, so managers and employees spend more time with customers and less time managing money.

Applications: robbery deterrent, safe receipt storage, internal shrink controls, cash dispensing, retail cash control, and register (POS) replenishment.

Fleet Services

Co-op fuel delivery trucks tracked by SAS Connect GPS

SAS Connect | GPS Fleet Tracking

See your whole fleet in real time: where every vehicle is, where it’s been, and how it’s being driven. Live tracking, trip history, and driver safety alerts paired with AI dashcam video, plus 2-way driver communications, on one platform you open from any device.

Idle time, fuel burn, and engine fault codes become numbers you can act on, cutting the costs you can’t see and keeping trucks earning, not sitting.

Tank Monitoring, On Your Fleet Map

Every monitored tank’s fuel level, live beside your delivery fleet, colour-coded and updated hourly. One view answers who needs fuel, and which truck is already near them: fewer dry-outs, tighter routes, fewer wasted trips. Works with your existing tank sensors, nothing to install or maintain on your side.

Asset Tracking & IoT

Beyond the vehicles: track trailers, equipment, and other high-value assets on the same map as your fleet, and add IoT sensors where you need eyes, so you always know where everything is.

Common Questions

Does my insurer require a ULC system?

Many commercial policies require ULC Listed systems and monitoring, and some offer premium reductions for them. Your policy or broker can confirm, or send us the security clause and we’ll tell you exactly what it requires. Either way, SAS is a ULC Listed Installer, so if the answer is yes, you’re covered.

What is visual verification?

When an alarm triggers, monitoring operators see video of what caused it before dispatching. Verified alarms get prioritized response from police, and false alarms get screened out before they cost you a fine.

What happens when an alarm comes in?

Your alarm signals go to a ULC Listed Monitoring Company staffed 24/7. Operators verify the alarm, follow your site’s response plan (dispatch, key-holder calls, guard response), and SAS handles any follow-up service your system needs.

Can you take over an existing system?

In most cases, yes. We can assess your current equipment, take over monitoring and service, and upgrade only what actually needs upgrading.

Do I need dash cams for my fleet?

In some cases it’s becoming the law: British Columbia is set to require forward-facing dash cameras on heavier commercial vehicles, and other provinces are watching. But the bigger reason is protection: in most collisions involving a commercial vehicle, the driver isn’t at fault, and video is what proves it, settling claims faster and defending your drivers and your business. SAS Connect | GPS includes AI dash cam options, and we can advise on what fits your vehicles and where the rules are headed. As regulations are still being finalized, we’ll help you stay ahead of them.
